Spices: world markets in one line

•CHILLI•

Harvesting will begin in February 2018. The bulk of the new crop will begin to enter the market no earlier than mid-March. •TURMERIC•

•CORIANDER•

•BLACK PEPPER•

► Green bell pepper, prices for flakes 9×9 mm of green sweet pepper remained at $ 3,500 per ton.

► Tomato Flakes, prices for Chinese tomato flakes rose to $ 3,750 per ton (CIF Rotterdam).

► Dried Leek, the small amounts of dried leek remnants in Poland and other Eastern European countries, combined with unfavorable weather conditions, led to an increase in the prices of green / white leek flakes, which are now at $ 4,500 per ton (CIF Rotterdam) .

► Basil and marjoram, prices for basil and marjoram from Egypt remain stable at $ 2,000 per tonne and $ 2,200 per ton (CIF Rotterdam), respectively.

► Oregano, at 100% pure oregano, oregano prices are rising due to low stocks. Prices for Turkish oregano leaves increased by 14% and reached $ 4,000 per ton (CIF Rotterdam). Since the new oregano harvest will appear on the market not earlier than July, we should expect further price growth in the next six months.
